for you
i'll walk through walls
and walk through glass
i'll sink the sea
and empty the trees
i'll polish the stars
and sharpen the sky
i'll mould the clouds
to your image
i'll step off your edge
mollycoddle your fire
and wash every hour
on the hour.

the joy of specs
yes
i can see
no more a blur
no bloody mist
the world has lines
and curves
all this time
look what i've missed
the miracle of lenses
jesus christ
why did i wait
this zombia of sight
is now
an angel of delight.

a ring of ice crystals
a ring of ice crystals
around the moon
frozen details
of a sky at night
the taste of icicles
those haunting stalactites
thin air
and white breath.
a ring of ice crystals
around your heart
a wasteland of chill
desolate in its nature
the chambers are cold
and fingers grip blue
then lilac
and numbness confounds
and pale shadows drift.
a ring of ice crystals
around our world
a hint, fresh looking glass
chrome to the touch
the mean spirit of mint
cleansing
off the bone
in stasis
and sheets of once rolling valleys.
